Questions:
How do TRED’s work?
The ability of TRED's to get you out of a sticky situation comes down to the provision of superior traction when the ground under your tyres is simply too unstable to traverse. There’s more than enough traction on top to get your vehicle up and going and enough traction underneath so that TRED’s don’t just pass straight under your tyre.
Who needs TRED’s?
Anyone that ventures off bitumen in a vehicle will benefit by carrying a pair of TRED's. Many consider them a great insurance policy for those unplanned losses of traction that can cost time, money, or your vehicle. TRED's are not limited to any type of off-road user, we have serious 4x4 enthusiasts applauding the product, and weekend warriors embracing the confidence of being able to explore without a backup vehicle.
Are TRED's easy to use?
Almost too easy! With a designated shovel feature and extreme grip TRED's will get you moving again in no time. Obviously this depends of the seriousness of the situation you find yourself in but by catching traction loss early you can be out in less than a minute.
Where would I use TRED’s?
Use TRED's in any scenario where loss of traction stops forward momentum. The two things to remember are: 1) avoid wheel spin; and 2) don’t use on hard or rocky ground.
When should I use TRED's?
Use them early – don’t keep spinning your tyres thinking the vehicle will miraculously get itself out. Slip a pair of TRED's under your tyres as soon as you notice traction loss and you’ll be out in no time.
What’s so good about TRED’s?
TRED's offer unprecedented ease of use and traction features and benefits at an affordable price. You can perform a solo recovery in no time at all and more importantly TRED's are the safest option available when compared to using straps, winches, or primitive recovery methods such as trying to stuff tree branches and timber under your tyres in the hope that traction will be found.

What makes TRED’s unique?
Our engineering and material selection has created a highly durable product which offers superior traction when you need it most. The shovel feature makes recovery even easier and means you don’t need to carry a full slather of bulky recovery equipment. At the standard retail price TRED's represent fantastic value for money.
What are TRED’s made from?
Superior engineering and design have been coupled with a special blend of polymer materials to offer a highly durable recovery device. The TRED Pro takes it one step further with EXOTRED™ - our Patented Dual Composite Construction For Ultimate Durability
They look like plastic, won’t they break?
Due to the special high-strength polymer material blend they can handle high levels of flex, are highly durable and wear resistant. The mix of elasticity and tough rigid design means that TRED's maintain a high level of pressure on your tyre to provide ultimate traction whilst still being able to take the flex of being under vehicle weight on unstable ground. You may notice minor white stress marks when exposed to high levels of flex but this is what the material is designed to do – flex and bounce back time and time again.
EXOTRED™ - Patent Pending Dual Composite Construction For Ultimate Durability: TRED Pro’s unique and patent pending composite construction, ensures that in the unlikely event that your wheels spin during a recovery, the ramp/teeth will not suffer instant catastrophic damage as has been experienced with other leading recovery ramp products. Due to the special polyolefin material blend TRED Pro's can handle high levels of flex, are highly durable and wear resistant. The mix of elasticity and tough rigid design in the main body means that your TRED Pro’s maintain a high level of pressure on your tyre to provide ultimate traction whilst still being able to take the flex of being under vehicle weight on unstable ground.
Why are there different sizes of TRED?
The primary reason behind a dual size offering was to cater for all vehicle types and storage capacities – a pair of Large TRED's may be a tight squeeze in a smaller SUV or fully loaded vehicle. Having said that we are seeing many serious off-road enthusiasts carrying both a pair of large TRED's and a pair of small TRED's so that they have options for recovery in any scenario (sometimes a small TRED can fit in a tricky spot more easily that its bigger brother). Both offer enough traction to get you going again regardless of vehicle size. The TRED Pro is slightly longer and wider than the TRED 1100. Length 1160mm (45.67 inches); Width 330mm (12.99 inches); Height 65mm (2.56 inches). Nested/stacked height (one set/pair): 85mm (3.35 inches).

Will the sun damage my TRED's if I have them permanently mounted externally on my vehicle?
The material we make TRED's from includes a UV-stabiliser package that protects them from damage by the sun's UV rays, however if they are permanently stored in the sun the colour will eventually start to fade after a few years or so and, like anything left exposed to the sun for long periods, they will eventually start to degrade and lose their ductility, so storing them out of the sun when not in use will ensure their longevity.
