National Breast Cancer Foundation Fundraising Weekend Highlights
What an amazing weekend we had recently at The Springs 4X4 Park. Hundreds of people came along to support the event, and had a great weekend too, based on the feedback we received. Friday’s highlights had to be the Hill Climb Challenge which started with the TRED Y62 Patrol vs Reuben from DMW in his Y62. After days of calling Reuben out, he put his money where his mouth was, and a pot of $1,000 was at stake for the winner.
You can watch the first run here.
Friday evening, many of those camping enjoyed tackling the TRED / Anaconda hills just before Dusk. Our mate Phil McCracklin then put on a delicious BBQ feed for those that were keen.
Saturday, was jam packed with awesomeness from the start. We had a brilliant BMX stunt show from Blue Groove BMX, a range of Sponsors showing off their wares, and then our first Freestyle Motocross Stunt Show at 10am.
Many of those attending came perfectly dressed for the event, and many also went to the trouble of making sure their 4X4 was part of the fun too, which made awarding the Breast Dressed vehicle a challenge!
After lunch, Beer O’Clock hill was opened and just as many vehicles made their way to the top as they did fail.
After Raffle prizes were drawn, dinner was served for those who ordered it, music was played, and everyone enjoyed a night around the campfire.
All in all, the event was a huge success. Throughout October, the TRED community has helped raise much-needed funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, contributing towards our goal of raising over $40,000 — with every dollar going towards funding lifesaving research and ongoing support for families doing it tough. But it isn’t over yet.
We all know someone who will be affected by breast cancer, considering the simple fact that 1 in 7 women and 1 in 600 men will suffer from the disease in their lifetime.
Even if you couldn’t make it to the event, there are still plenty of ways you can support this great cause, maximising our collective impact in supporting the work of the NBCF. Here are 3 simple ways you can help make a real difference:
3 Ways to support Breast Cancer
- Buy a Raffle Ticket online
Our generous sponsors have donated some extra prizes, and we’re keen to put them to good use. So, we've created an online raffle where you can buy tickets to win some cool prizes. Winners will be announced when the Built4Offroad video drops early next month, and all proceeds from the raffle will go to the NBCF.
- Buy Pink TRED products
If you need some recovery gear, levelling ramps, or wheel chocks, TRED has a range of Pink gear available online and in store at major retailers. For every Pink product sold during October, we’ll donate an amount to NBCF.
- Donate directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation
